Who said yogurt was only good for your body? We all know that yogurt contains beneficial probiotics, that help maintain a host of good bacteria in the intestines, but did you know that yogurt is also good for your hair and skin too?
Yogurt is full of protein and our hair needs protein. Yogurt is also chock full of enzymes and those wonderful enzymes combat itchy scalp and dandruff. Yogurt also softens hair for easier detangling and enhances natural shine.
Here’s a recipe you can use once every two weeks to give your hair a moisture and protein boost.
8 tablespoons plain greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1. Mix all ingredients together and apply mixture from roots to ends of clean hair. Try Pre-washing with our Hibiscus Mint Hair Cleanser if you haven’t already!
2. Roll hair into bun or twist into four sections. Put on a plastic cap and leave on for at least two hours. We like to leave it on overnight or throughout a Saturday morning while doing household chores.
3. Rinse the yogurt out out and apply Sweet Nectar Balm to scalp. Run excess through ends and style as usual.
Got leftovers? Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. This will help to reduce the look of blemishes and soften the skin.
